The Actions are a London based alt-rock duo who have been busy touring Europe and supporting Green Day.
After having worked closely with Warner Chappell on their previous material, Silty and Mo have decided it was time to mix things up a bit.
By changing their sound, working on their live set up, and pushing their boundaries to the limit, they are now ready to present their new aural interval in a form of their upcoming single The Echo (out Dec 8th.).
We had a listen:
This is bold, plucky and rubbery.
Like a brave hedgehog crossing a trampoline.
The voices are clear and liquidy… Like moonshine, melted.
They tremble within the silver snaps of percussion.
Then a strange grizzled voice creeps out – hopping alongside an unstable guitar – and this is vibed up – reggae-style.
But there is a crispness about this piece too – it’s like a polished mod number – it crinkles like a new Ben Sherman shirt – torn from the packet.
The final moments are a powerful cone of splashing sounds, wheezing and gaseous trumpeting. As the shards fall around you, you will look for the replay button.
