To coincide with the launch of the Provogue/Mascot Label Group’s, ROCKIN’ THE BLUES 2018 TOUR the label has announced a special Rockin’ The Blues 14 track compilation album to be released December 15th.
The tour is expected to be a wondrous guitar-hero spectacle featuring Eric Gales, Quinn Sullivan, Gary Hoey + special guest Lance Lopez.
When we listened to young Massachusetts singer & guitarist Quinn Sullivan we his guitar work as a “dynamically imprinted, psychological force”
This mag also described travelling bluesman Gary Hoey as a “blues-rocker with hill billy boogie in his bones…”
We interviewed Eric Gales this year who told us he was influenced by Cream, Jeff Beck, Peter Green and Robin Trower.
And we also chatted to Lance Lopez [SUPERSONIC BLUES MACHINE] about the unique compendium of late night boogie jams recorded on ‘Californisoul’
The accompanying album features tracks from the biggest and best Blues artists on the Provogue roster, including Eric Gales, Gary Hoey and Quinn Sullivan.
Other artists on the album include Black Stone Cherry, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Beth Hart, Walter Trout, SIMO, Supersonic Blues Machine, Thomas Wynn & The Believers, Jonny Lang, Lance Lopez, Sonny Landreth and Ronnie Baker Brooks.
