DAMEHT Introduces The Greek

DAMEHT have been generating a lot of buzz over in NYC lately.

DAMEHT’s music is a catchy and addictive style of latin-influenced post-punk and power pop with a touch of new wave and electro.

Yep! It’s got the lot!

Rivington Starchild, Roman Lewis, Lucas Garzoli & C.E Santana create precise, clean-cut, copycat numbers like ‘The Greek’.

This has a hippy skippy-beat and a reggae attitude.

It’s a song of joy… It’s like discovering that your favourite indie-rock band can also splendidly cover your favourite dance-track.

The seductive guitar bubbles up like hot magma – as the Nicki Minaj-sounding pop sensibilities struggle free to run amok.

And it all reminds you of the Cranberries hit “Zombie.”

We have also been listening to ‘Girl Jeans’:

This has deeply spoken words and flustering guitars. It reminded us of Prince at his most hypnotic.

Full of energetic, hypertonic activity and emotion. And not just a little of “Right Said Fred” (“I’m Too Sexy”.)
