London based Hertfordshire-born musician MATT MURE sent his recent tracks over to RAW RAMP Island and we were pleased to listen to them. He is a fully formed artist.
Last year the indie pop singer and his redoubtable band of three released their debut single “Give Me The Fear” a track that was re-mixed by Steve Sears Jr (Gallows / Kids in Glass Houses) and mastered by Pete Maher (Lana Del Ray.)
We had a listen —
Listless drums tumble and parade as the voice, though nimble, seems overwrought and somehow agitated by the “fears”.
The atmospheric chorus is inviting, dulcet and is filled with shrewd passion.
All things considered, this is a gallant and powerful number.
