We’ve been checking out their new track “Hanging” taken from the debut album —
This is a lonesome, hardship blues number, filled with bottomland tribulation and Delta-influenced bottleneck glissading … as well as a whole load of disconsolate yet tuneful howlin’.
The guitar is vibrant and fruity and the whole thing opens out like a Tallahatchie hayfield.
This is like a piece written by Kill It Kid yet vocalised by Little Walter.
In other words, vintage blues taken to a supreme new level.
