KING HERD, one of the most exciting new rock acts in the UK, are set to release their self-titled debut album, “King Herd“, on the 22nd September 2023. The band will also release a new single “Somebody Else“, on the same day.
The band released three singles, “Remedy”, “Medicine” and “Halo”, in 2022 to widespread critical acclaim. All three were A listed on Planet Rock radio. Without any real push the band were then invited to open for Reef, Feeder and Gun, and to play Steelhouse festival and Planet Rock’s Winters End Festival. These appearances helped them to pick up a whole host of new fans with their stunning live show.
New single “Like It Used To Be” (sound shared below) is a potent ballad featuring driving guitars from Tom Longworth, boldly soaring melodies (Karl Brazil on drums + Ray Loverock on bass), and the exalted voice of Dave Taylor. The single is currently A listed on Planet Rock radio.
Somebody Else is a hornet’s nest of turmoil & ferment though not intolerably dark: introspective, yes. But efficient and potent in efficacy.
With all the necessary components in place and a shared goal and vision among all band members, King Herd finished recording their debut album under the direction of Sam Miller (The Temperance Movement).
