STEVE HILL Wakes Up to a World Gone Insane

STEVE HILL, the one-man blues rock machine, delivers burning-bright guitar-work (reminiscent of Johnny Winter) along with caramelized-chocolate vocals and irresistible rock-hard rhythms with his new album, Hanging On a String, recorded in Los Angeles at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606, produced by 10 X Grammy Winner Darrell Thorp (Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Paul McCartney) and mastered by 6 X Grammy Winner Michael Romanowski,

I’ve never been prouder of anything I’ve done in all my life…” he says.

“This is the music I’ve been wanting to do and never thought I could ever perform that as a one-man band. Raw, in your face and straight to the point. This record is about perseverance, resilience in the face of adversity and my never-ending love for guitar music.

Steve has a deep affection for concept albums and Hanging on A String plays like a concept piece when you attend the songs as an entire bundle, even though some parts were not composed with a notion for the conceptual in mind. The album is set in a dystopian world where music is the only thing that might save people.

So, on World Gone Insane, slabs of scorching iron guitar, blacksmithy rhythms, and a rankled agitated vocal draw attention to the tense atmosphere, which highlights the plight of common man in a world packed with predators & evil-minded exploiters. This is significant and compelling.
