From his new album “Empty Chairs”, the JUNO and Maple Blues Award recipient SPENCER MACKENZIE presents his fourth single, “Don’t Know Where I’m Going.”
This re-imagined version of Rory Gallagher’s acoustic classic, “Don’t Know Where I’m Going,” presents a superb set of silty-solid, sandpapery guitar tones, with a configurative, hardworking, rhythm section. The release signifies Mackenzie’s growing momentum for his much-anticipated album.
Much admired for his inter-connective phrasing, mellow mood, and his passionate performances, we have described Spencer sounds as “inspiratory…” as he delivers songs that: “bite deep into sullen atmospherics…”
Gypsy Soul Records will release Mackenzie’s new album “Empty Chairs” on February 20th, 2026. The album was produced by Ross Hayes Citrullo, who is the guitarist for The Commoners and has also picked up two Juno nominations for his work as a producer, mixer, and engineer, along with an Emmy Award for recording mixing.
