The English singer-songwriter HOLLIE ROGERS is widely celebrated for her commanding voice, her incisive songwriting, and for crafting an original sound that’s characterized by percussive, acoustic guitar-play.
Her songs, inspired by a love of Joan Armatrading, Carole King, and Blondie, achieve a sophisticated mix of intense emotion and joyful spirit.
The Caffè Nero stores play Hollie’s music on repeat, and the artist has the support of BBC Introducing. An alumna of the English Folk Expo’s venerated Artist Mentorship Programme, Hollie has joined forces with notable artists such as Jamie Lawson and the renowned guitarist Robben Ford, both of whom were featured on her 2022 album, “Criminal Heart.”
Hollie has now announced a new album, “Everything’s Fine,” and its debut single, “Some Kinda Lover” (video shared below.)
“Everything’s Fine” was created out of the crumbled nettlescape of an unpredictable romance, intrusive real-life obligations, and the subtle disarray of adult existence. Born from the mundane realities of mortgages, shared loyalty cards, and filling-out complicated tax returns, Hollie offers her listeners a blend of wry humour and heartfelt sincerity.

Her 2026 album is a raw and painfully relatable mix of songs, perhaps written for those who are busily pretending that they are ‘okay ‘fine with things’ whilst all-the-while they’re barely coping with life’s nagging persistent and irritating struggles.
Hollie says: “Everything’s Fine aims to capture life in all its messy, brilliant, unpredictable moments. Some songs hit hard, some make you smile, and some do both. I wanted to tell stories that feel real and connect emotionally. Basically, life happens and this is the soundtrack…”
On “Some Kinda Lover,” Hollie’s genuine rock ‘n’ roll rhythm and a lively, restless pace allow the piece to navigate the clutter of life’s little issues. The piece, with its smoggy lamplit vocals, lush organ lines, and Hollie’s shiver-inducing guitar work, ultimately provides a sense of cathartic release.
