RED GIANT offers an extraordinary adrenaline-fueled mix of heavy/alt rock and post-hardcore.
The project’s mastermind is Dave Simpson, known for his guitar work, lead vocals, and his popular YouTube presentations.
The band’s raison d’etre is fueled by exhilarating musical ambition.
RED GIANT’s initial impression on us evoked favourable comparisons to The Mars Volta and Jane’s Addiction, due to the radiant scope and exceptional artistry of their offerings.
Now RED GIANT have released a new single, titled “Can’t Find Me” (issued in anticipation of an extended-play recording “Red Giant – Vol. 1” due 29th April 2026). It’s a song that charts Dave’s intricate path through mental anguish, a state that has been induced by a neglectful school system that, ironically, promoted the bullying it purported to eliminate.
Like many in a similar situation, Dave has felt alone, rejected, and invisible because his guardians failed to provide adequate support, and they neglected their primary duty of care.

splattery musical textures…
The song’s outslung and exhausted rhythms are almost spat-out across a sawdust of splattery musical textures; yet the consistent mood is resiliently tough. The song’s narrative, delivered in a forceful style, conveys a defiant and enduring resolve that is surprisingly pleasant to the ear (given that the source material is bleak.)
As the piece develops, the song creates a sense of liberation from feelings of isolation and offers an escape from the indifference of a self-serving system, to ultimately bring refuge for those who feel neglected by a society that doesn’t seem to care.
