Guards, the New York City-based band consisting of Richie James Follin, Loren Ted Humphrey, and Kaylie Church have announced that they will be will be touring with The Joy Formidable this spring.

We took a listen, and here’s what we thought:
This is a beach twisting flip-flop flapping feel good sand-castle of a song. With waves of joyful vanilla emotion, and a breeze of gritty, flickering sentiment. The words feel squashed inside the sepia pages – like pressed flowers – and the elastic guitar gurgles out like a satisfied new-born.
Chiming, gleaming, descant vocals shimmer over the sweet chorus – like silvery fish cresting the waves…
