This giddy-up little number by CHARLEY CROCKETTRun Horse Run — (video below) brings the zing of Tiomkin’s Rawhide (1958) made famous by Frankie Laine (though perhaps a song that’s more familiar to Blues Brothers and Johnny Cash aficionados) along with something of the dry cactus swagger of a honky-tonking Marty Robbins.

This is about as cow-punching as Americana can get: In other words, it’s twangy country for spaghetti western fans.
