Apparently Go Wolf met at a random poetry night in a Belfast barber shop, enjoyed each others’ poems and a similar dress sense, got talking, decided to form a band, and quickly became one of the most talked-about new names in the Belfast music scene.
Having recently supported the likes of The 1975, CSS and London Grammar, the band have finally decided to release their much anticipated new single called One More Night.
We had a listen to the new single. Here’s what we thought:
‘One More Night’ is slightly more soothing and smooth than you might expect.
Yes, this has a jaunty beat and a will cause a tingle in your toes and may even hasten a broad smile to escape across your face- but at its heart this is a bright and mild disco song. For a cool night after a hot day. Or for the last moments at your best-freind’s ‘get-up-and-dance’ party.
The bass is bubblicious and purring and the voice – together with the musical sophistry – is reminiscent of the 1980’s ‘Tears for Fears’.
“One more night with you …” Yep! You’ll be singing this in your sleep … I warn you!
