ZAC SCHULZE GANG Live at Shepherd’s Bush Empire

On Saturday March 1st 2026 we were thrilled to see Britain’s ZAC SCHULZE GANG in concert at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, supporting Samantha Fish on her nationwide“Paper Doll” tour.

This power-trio, probably amongst the hardest-working bands on the British blues-rock scene right now, was founded in Gillingham, Kent, in 2021. The ensemble’s infectiously passionate blues-rock is rocket-fueled by Zac Schulze’s awesome guitar-work, and their sound takes cues from 20th-century artists such as Dr. Feelgood and Rory Gallagher.

The band’s set at the Empire, which included a Rufus Thomas cover — “Walking The Dog” — showcased Ben’s exceptionally precise drumming and vocals, Ant Greenwell’s incredibly outlandish bass playing (and backing vox) and, of course, Zac’s astounding guitar-play. Their support slot at Shepherd’s Bush featured deep foundational layer of bass guitar, super-sharp lime-infused guitar, and driving, compelling percussion.

The song ‘High Roller’ kicked off their show with a twangy guitar riff. Next, a crash of drums and a bass guitar (that felt like it was drilling holes into our heads) introduced us to a truly rambling rock and roll extravaganza. This was a full-on, high-contact, super-impactful, flourishment!

Woman” exuded sizzlingly sulphuric guitar lines, with bass notes blazing, and rhythms rat-a-tatting across our heads, blisteringly fast.

…his solo exuded bravery, rebellion, and high spirits, as it dazzled the entire theatre…

And the way they performed “Walking The Dog” reminded people around us of Rory Gallagher!

Zac’s electromorphic guitar-lines lit up the rumbling bass corrugations while his singing voice was stark and unyielding. His enormous solo exuded bravery, rebellion, and high spirits. Their combined musicianship dazzled the entire theatre!

With its disheveled intensity and astoundingly heroic rapid-fire solos, the high-energy performance of ZAC SCHULZE GANG Live at Shepherd’s Bush Empire was a wild, blues-infused rock ‘n’ roll spectacle. Flaringly awesome!
