RMours are a brand new UK act creating quirky and simply wonderful indie pop music.
Their knockout combination of empowering female vocals, smart songwriting and killer production puts the duo head and shoulders above the current crop of emerging pop talent. Hints of Feist and Florence & The Machine are crafted into their own tale of nostalgia, ecstasy and heartbreak.
We’ve been listening to ‘Rebels’:
Anne’s voice on this track is sinuous and far more purrful than Florence [Welch] ever was.
The pace is energetic and lightly dub-stepping. It paddles and peddles in a rapid blurting.
Everything then gets up and regurgitates itself. Creating a deliciously infectious ska/rock number.
This song flies and wobbles – like an over-saturated bumble-bee.
It raises itself- just like any decent dance tune should – and the rhythms gradually burn deep into your veins.
But it’s also light enough for summer. And you will feel fancy-free after a portion.
