19 year old Fable – based in Brighton, UK , is currently in the process of writing and recording her debut album with trip-hop collective Archive.
The first track has now been released – co written by Darius and Danny and featuring Smiley on drums and Pollard on guitar.
‘Lift Off’ will take place at The Hope in Brighton on 31st July.
We listened to new track ‘I Speak Words’:
The dark umber-brown voice leaks out in a slushy manner – like a spilling bottle of muddy varnish.
This vocal gurgles over the intermingling keynotes.
The lyrical repetition creates a pattern of connecting sockets.
The shadowy effects of the darker bass notes create cups in the surface.
And the piano-sounding keys agitate creatively within the gaps.
The rhythms bloom beautifully – and are perfectly rendered.
And the lispy, mellow voice is completely hypnotic.
This is a bewitching track
