Ghosts Haunt Brooke Bentham

Eighteen year old South Shields (UK) based Guitar and Voice act Brooke Bentham releases her debut single ‘We’ll Be Ghosts’ on 29th September on Trellis Records.

Brooke Bentham shortIt’s about time we heard some exquisite vocals tethered to some electrical plucked tremors – and this lost-love-song has some of the best we’ve heard for years. The voice is majestic and proud : “There’s no tears to be shed…” She reminds herself, holding her chin up, to take a deep breath of courage.

Brooke’s voice is gently smooth – extravagant, like chocolate – but at about the 2:30 mark of the song, things change … the voice will make you gasp. And your heart will be in your mouth.

She reaches those peaks fearlessly – so boldly, bravely and pure as ice – you can almost feel the agony in her soul. As she pours out her despair.

Powerfully melancholic folk-rock, with vocals so emotionally overwrought that your heart will be left spinning for ever.
