Slow Down, Molasses from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan have been recording and festivalling since at least 2007.
But this year the band seems to have moved themselves up a notch – playing the Great Escape Festival, Incubate at Tilburg, SXSW and the Reeperbahn.
The bands new single ‘Summer Sun‘ will be launched in October.

We had a listen:
Reverb rich ‘Summer Sun’ judders into view like an ice-cream man’s jalopy on a cobblestone street.
The beat gallops away – and the gorgeously infectious guitars construct purple power towers all around your head.
This is a creation of light and peppery – hula-halo – madness.
The voices are crackly, paper thin and foggy. It’s like being suffocated by a bag of paper roses.
Clever shoegaze haze-filled power-pop rock with architectural design so absorbent that it will give you the pink-noise jitters.
