“Hey LA” is the first single from LA’s TAPED3CK. Whose members – Lillard Anthony (Vocals, Guitars) Al Walters (Bass, Vox) Kemble Walters (Drums) – began working organically – after finding their feet in solo projects.
The single has been given a wandful of fairy-dust by Brian Virtue ( 30 Seconds to Mars, Audioslave, Chevelle) and will be released worldwide on 30 September.
We had an early listen:
A party of fierce guitars rise to meet a mocking voice that glides in, sneering, like a wheezing fox.
The riff is so skweezy and pleezy – like a hug from a sweet inveigler…
The solo squirms and writhes itself into a frenzy – like a yellow-bellied sea snake.
This is punk – presumably – but on a big, big scale…
Raucous, glamorous and thrilling. If you think that you have discovered it all in the genre – then TAPED3CK have arrived – to confound that suspicion.
So, all together now: “Come Get Some …”
