The debut EP from Liverpool (UK) artist Jennifer Davies, consists of five different tracks, each an imaginatively styled & delivered piece of diverse pop.
Jennifer wrote and recorded “The Lapse of Time EP” in her hometown with producer Tord Knudsen (The Wombats.)

We have been listening to Choke from the new EP:
This has a Eurythmics sounding beat – plump bass notes and ribbed chords – when the voice fans out across the rumbling sound patterns you will be surprised by how seductively high the vocals are – they are so sweet and so pure & thin you will be gasping for oxygen.
But that high eminence is bitter – because it includes sentiments like “Even the good times don’t feel good enough…”
This is all about jumping (from a relationship) before you are pushed.
If you can ignore that fact that the synth-driven “Jump” motifs and even the backing vocal has been nicked from the 1980’s Van Halen song – when you move on – this is a very effective and exciting song.
Powerful rock synth-pop with a high-altitude voice full of ice-cool attitude and passionate expression.
