Indie-Folk musician Axel Flóvent Daðason [Axel Flóvent] from northern Iceland has now unveiled his debut single ‘Beach’ (it has already achieved over 23,000 Soundcloud plays.)
We have been listening:
Almost as expected, the guitar strings are cooling, like ice … cold to the bone.
Axel’s voice is irregular, velvety and wonderfully articulated.
This incredibly beautiful vocal folds and waffles into some heavenly harmonies. These grow in stature through the recording.
The ecstatic climax is oscillatory and flowering.
This song is particularly regal when the piano is developed.
This grows organically, from the nucleus of the song...
To sparkle along the brushed-edges, like gold dust and diamonds found on a lonely strandline.
