British singer/songwriter Sophie Cooke aka “Frances” writes and co-produces her own music and is influenced by artists ranging from Aqualung and Sia to Alanis Morisette and Carole King.
Her unique, ethereal tones, keen ear for an infectious melody, emotive piano playing and honest lyrics have already caught the attention of Xfm, Noisey and MTV.

We have been listening to “A Million Lines” the first single taken from her “Grow” EP:
Lamenting keys keep their radiance hidden — like twinkling subsuns lurking within the dangerous clouds of Titan.
The voice is like being hit a hundred times by an eagle feather… Afloat, soft, bold and suspended in reality.
The deepest moments of this song travel through your skin — to bleed into your immortal essence.
It is a kind of sadness that transcends the earthly — as it flutters into a supreme eternity.
After the halfway point, this song begins to ripple and sway magnificently – even dangerously – like a corvette captured in the eyewall of an approaching storm.
Incredible down-tempo soft-rock with a voice so healing that it allows all your voltages to be released at once …
