Rock, punk and pop outfit The Benjees cite influences ranging from Jack White to The Beastie Boys to James Brown and beyond.
Reflecting the urgency and gritty aesthetic of their native New York City— the band is set apart by their energetic, fast-paced songs that balance bottom-heavy foundations with interweaving guitar melodies and three part harmonies.

We listened to new track Hollywood:
Twangier than a Las Vegas G-String bikini — this also has a melodious wooziness to it that is hard to place, but imagine a crush of velvet keys (from Martin McDonald) that clog up your gaps, and you get an idea of the overall effect.
The pace of the riff drives this song along, together with the urgency of the clouded voice from Ben. It seems congested with fears and doubts.
This is about the hypnotic lure of bright lights. So don’t be surprised if you get caught blind in the glare.
We especially loved the crescendo of spaced-out guitars around the 1:50 mark.
Sensational power-rock with blazing guitars, emotive keys and candied vocals.
