The Melbourne, Australia act [The Outdoor Type] led by Zack Buchanan has revealed the first single ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ to be taken from the self-titled forthcoming debut EP.
Launch shows are scheduled for Melbourne and Sydney this May.

We had a listen:
This is a chipper puffer — running down a chirpy slope.
The locomotion is palpable — with analogue rhythms floating out like streamers of hot air, then evaporating subtly into the coolness.
The plucky guitar-work is stringy with plenty of high-pitch tremolo.
And the almond vocal shines — quite able to punch through the varied accompaniments — to provide exhilarating highness at chorus time.
Sonically powerful synth-folk-rock with lofty vocals and a self-propelled pace.
