Ahead of their first UK tour, the L.A. based electro-sharp power-pop band The Happy Hollows, fronted by singer / guitarist Sarah Negahdari, will release their new single ‘Astrid’ on 24 May.
‘Astrid’ is the first in a series of game-changing new tracks written and recorded by the band in the wake of their succesful 2013 album, ‘Amethyst’.

We had a listen to the new song:
This is inflatable and burpy — with those satin coated vocals starting-off smoke-filled, deep and sensual… then boasting their ambitions with high altitude swiftness.
This song billows like a kingsize sheet in the wind.
Pin-prick beats are deadly accurate and the accompaniments deftly gather around the mast of this bobbing number to create a masterful wave of sounds and images.
Hook-filled pop rock with an insightful voice that rises from its smoky origins to shine like a host of silver streamers in a bright sky …
