Birdeatsbaby Re-Visit Muscle Museum

We quite like the idea of a ‘female Muse’ and Birdeatsbaby fits the bill perfectly.

The Orchestral Indie Noir outfit from Brighton (UK) have released a digital single “Muscle Museum” (a cover of the iconic Muse number) and it is to be launched on May 15th at a special party at The Macbeth in Hoxton [London].

Birdeatsbaby – Side-show histrionics…

We had an early listen:

Obviously, this has brooding chords and a turbulent &  ghostly piano.

A crash and tumble of drums conjures up an image of a carnal cabaret turned sour at midnight.

The voice from Mishkin Fitzgerald reminds us of Marcella Detroit — displeased, sarcastic and with dramatic soberness in every expression.

Violin-play from Hana Piranha is sleek and elegantly serpentine.  How it frills around those dark syllables!

Obscure and haughty side-show histrionics with gripping vocals, musical magic and a growing sense of portentous calamity.
