Indie pop newcomers Viola Beach from Warrington, UK have announced the upcoming release of their debut single Swings and Waterslides — which we listened to here:
The track is the perfect introduction to the band’s splendid sound, and it comes before their eagerly anticipated performance on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds Festival later this month.
The tasty lads, Kris Leonard on guitar and vocals, River Reeves on guitar, Tomas Lowe on bass and Jack Dakin on drums create loud, multi-coloured & richly reverberated dreamy-sky heaven.
The jet-propelled guitars allow the dynamic vocals to express their expectations with “eyes wide open”.
Never distracted or absent-minded — this is spotlessly energetic and magnificently strong-willed…
Face it, here is an anthem that you can get your teeth into!
