The British Indian musician, producer and composer Nitin Sawhney has announced details of a new album.
Nitin will release Dystopian Dream on November 6.
It’s his tenth studio album & the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2011’s Last Days of Meaning — a collaboration with the actor John Hurt.
Nitin is trailing the new record with lead single ‘When I’m Gone’ — featuring a guest vocal from the fast-rising Stealth (he’s also recently guested on huge Netsky vs Metric & Roger Sanchez tracks).
The release is accompanied by a 6 date UK tour incl. London Heaven on Nov.17 (details below) — with plans for the album to be turned into a fully choreographed show by the renowned Wang-Ramirez company already underway…

In preparation, we listened to When I’m Gone (featuring Stealth):
This rises and lunges — it heaves and it plunges… Like a well oiled self-propelled pump.
The guitar-hand glides across frets with the bronzed agility.
And the metallic influences become more abundant over time, cutting their silvery twists as the song progresses.
In fact, this is heavy-bladed and slickly incisive. It has more cutting edge than a samurai school.
But it is also filled with yeast and fission… The earthy sounds of the early blues plus the theatre and mud of gator-infested bayous.
A smoky treat with a laid-back, slow-tempo style and the eerie echo of the most evocative swamp blues you can imagine…
