Falling musically somewhere between the creative production and ideals of Phantogram and the intelligent pop of CHVRCHΞS or Purity Ring — the nomadic (but largely West-coast based) electro-pop trio MRCH have issued “Spin the Single” — we had a listen. [Video shared below.]
The fuzzy-dark chafing of the synths will help soothe your inner-ear… even before the heights of those angelic & whisper-light vocals are reached.
Although the beat drives this along, there are subtle crevices to negotiate too — with some inventive percussion.
But, mainly, the moth-like flutterings of the vocal will keep you amused.
And totally fascinated.
