Fizzy Blood are a band born from drive, determination and resilience.
Based in Leeds, UK, this refreshingly courageous five-piece have shed any trace of their generic own-brand of retro-inspired rock. Now the sounds are packed with blistering riffs combined with a modern songwriting ethos — they have managed to create something that stands out from the current trend in rock music — with one foot in the blues landscape of Queens Of The Stone Age and another in the punk-infused rock and roll of Pulled Apart By Horses.
Last November as part of a new initiative, the Leeds-based record label Come Play With Me released its first split 7” vinyl recording.

Next month, Come Play With Me – a Community Interest Company set up to promote exciting musical talents from the Leeds region — will issue a second recording, this time showcasing a new track from Fizzy Blood.
We had a listen to Sweat and Sulphur:
Cut and sliced with hot ‘n’ shimmering guitars, fumes bluster — while a thick, crusty bass-guitar bellows at the center.
The vocal flames and the atmosphere is heavy and smoggy.
This is melodious, humming and oh-so scandalously exciting …
