CHRISTINE LEAKEY has shared with us her first single entitled Twinkle which is taken from her forthcoming album — Wanderlust Wishing Well.
Christine travelled from Hamilton, Ontario to Los Angeles to record & self-produce the album with her good friend FERNANDO PERDOMO who also produces many other artists including Linda Perhacs and is the lead guitarist in Jakob Dylan’s project Echo in the Canyon
We had a listen to Twinkle —
This leaks colours like quickly washed laundry.
It is idiosyncratic and unreal with an off-centre pulse and bleached vocals that wobble rather than quench.
Nonetheless, it is quirklicious to behold, though, to be fair, it’s kinda strange… but in a cool and witty way …
Dorky yet fascinating!
