If you wistfully miss the fine vocal melody of Dylan’s 1976 musings on the fragility of love [Desire – Bob Dylan] then Norway’s THE LATE GREAT could make some small amends.
They are a folk-rock band from the north of Norway. And “A Young Lover’s Dream” is the first single to come from the upcoming album “Songs From The 21st Century.”
“A Young Lover’s Dream” is a love-poem in the style of the storyteller Dylan with haunting keys and melodramatic harmonica.
Singer-songwriter Tor Thomassen has been playing small venues for a while now — equipped with his trusty acoustic guitar and mouth organ.
The fuller sound production achieved with a full band helps to encapsulate and extend his compositions to create lush soundscapes.
