The hazy Californian indie-pop outfit THE REBEL LIGHT (from Los Angeles) can probably “weft magic from candyfloss and seersucker…” [Check our review of the 2013 jukebox-dream here.]
They have also issued a beautifully melodious track titled ‘Strangers’ [see below] which we have already said is filled with “bursts of crisp sound, incredible voices and has more swing than Jean Shrimpton’s hips, as she walks triumphantly down Carnaby Street …”
The lads have just made a big leap forward and have announced their signing with DUALTONE RECORDS which we are incredibly excited about.
This means that they will be joining a roster that already includes the fab Shovels & Rope and mega-talented The Lumineers .
