Following some amazing shows with Citizen and Good Charlotte, one of our favourite new bands BIG JESUS is over from the Atlanta, Georgia and heading for London to play a show at the Old Blue Last on Thursday 1st September.
That’s ahead of the release of ‘Oneiric’ on 30th September via Mascot Records.
Contrasting roaring and weighted fuzz-loaded tones with emollient & melodic vocals, BIG JESUS has gathered comparisons to My Bloody Valentine and vintage Smashing Pumpkins.
When we listened to SP [below] we recognised the glam-edged darkness of Pantera and even the East Bay punk attitude of Green Day.
Most of all, though, this is catchy and melodic rock with just a touch of metal influence.
The debut album ‘Oneiric by Big Jesus ‘ will be released by Mascot Records on September 30, 2016
