The Edinburgh based trio STILLHOUND have announced the release of their ‘Bury Everything’ alongside album opener ‘Spring Conscious,’ a huge and sailplaning pop track with Foals-esque guitar elaboration and a soaring chorus.

STILLHOUND consists of Fergus, Laurie Corlett-Donald and Dave Lloyd — the outfit take divine guidance from art, geography and the far flung soundscapes of their homeland,to create modern-pop with gelid electronics and stuffed with shameless synth pop architraves.
Adorned with lucent piano chords and mild guitar riffs, ‘Bury Everything‘ is due for release on 23rd September via Lost Oscillation Records.
Additional production and mixing was undertaken by Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Interpol, Grizzly Bear) and mastering was undertaken by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road.
When we listened to “Time Enough For Love” [below] we recognised Michael Jackson circa 1982 and slices of Shalamar.
Most of all, though, this reminded us of Chaka Khan. Yes, I know. Mad isn’t it?
But this is certainly high-tech funk with a chaka-chaka beat.
