OTONANA TRIO return with a new interpretation to the rarefied ramen story-telling of their previous releases: OUTER SPACE.

Inspired by a Japanese space-alien tale and a previous band name, SpacePowerDelight is the fifth album from the one-of-a-kind Tokyo indie-funk band.
Release date is October 7, 2016.
“We wrote the album while touring the States earlier this year...” said mastermind singer and guitarist Kentaro Saito.
“We come up with ideas which we know will be fun to perform live, and which will make people dance!”
The twelve tracks provide a variety of expertly-played pop punk, funk and blues, crisscrossed by atmospheric keyboards and Japanese lessons.
Kazuhisa “Kaz” Maekawa on bass and Hikari Kuroda on drums provide the ninja background to Kentaro’s humorous songs and ace guitarwork.
“Space Power Delight” is springy and elegant. The funky rhythms are a joy.
The bass on this is bigger and bouncier than a bulging Burlesquer’s back-corset bustier.
P-funk with a touch of Hendrix? Oh, Yeah!

Thanks Neil – great piece!
