Produced by the inimitable Kevin Shirley (The Black Crowes, Joe Bonamassa, Beth Hart, Rush, Iron Maiden), “Black Magic” is to be the second single taken from the forthcoming studio album to be released by JOANNE SHAW TAYLOR.
The West Midlands, UK singer-songwriter and #1 Billboard blues guitarist will be made available through Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records.

A guitar solo reaps through the corn stalks of rhythm like a swishing blade…
Raw Ramp Music Magazine
The new song is brackish and mossily tangy and chugs along like a Natchez locomotive on a bumpy track. The songvoice is that of grains ‘n’ leatherwood, and the song is about the subtle charm of fresh love. This is not to imply the song isn’t pomegranate delicious; it certainly is; though (like all good blues tunes) the emotions are conflicted. So, the chorus is pierced by a guitar solo that reaps through the corn-stalks of rhythm like a swishing blade. And the entire piece is as mesmerising as a ditty bag of talismanic black cat bones. This’ll leave you trembling!
