Scarborough (UK) rockers THIS HOUSE WE BUILT have released their latest single, “Addiction”, the first appetizer from a second album, titled ‘Get Out of The Rain’, set for release this Autumn 2025.
This energetic band is influenced by the timeless swagger of Seventies style classic rock, the undeniable energy of the NWOBHM, and the power & preen of 90’s glam metal.
the chorus kicks you across the lug-holes with a muscular oil-slick of commitment…
RAW RAMP
THWB Frontman Scott Wardell shares the evolution of the number: “The song came about at a jam with the band; we started to focus on trying to get a real hook of a riff going, we’re all big fans of 80’s & 90’s metal and we wanted to encompass this in the song…
…as soon as we’d jammed it a few times it was an obvious choice for the first single, we wanted something which was going to clout you in the face like an 12lb haddock!”
The song starts off with a swampy tinkling, but very soon the chorus kicks you across the lug-holes with a muscular oil-slick of commitment. And all that’s before the rusted slide lumbers into the picture like a grizzly bear in one hell of a temper.
The song has all the concussive force of a flaming thunderburst, along with the flavour of griddled oxflesh! In other words, it’s dangerously tasty!
