The alt pop masters, Light Parades, are celebrating the success of their video ( see below) for ‘Adolescence’ – racking up over 20K views.
Their debut album, ‘Through All Times’, is also receiving a mammoth amount of critical acclaim.
Light Parades create their own brand of alternative indie-pop, serene and uplifting, with melancholic undertones, weaving intricate and catchy vocal melodies, and strong piano movements.
Their debut album was a painstakingly long process, spending a whole year writing and producing it with Nick Brine to ensure that each meticulous morsel was perfect before releasing it through their own label, Rainbow Box Music, March 25th.
We had a saw the ‘Adolescence’ video and here’s what we thought:
The sweet supple quality of this track, with its quilted cushions of feather light guitar sounds, and a good hearted weave of the daintiest percussion, will help relieve your mind, and lead it to a calmer place. Those evermore sumptuous vocals – rich as the butterfat, yet fragile as fluttering paper-wings- yearningly recall your lost prime and forgotten innocence.
