New Natalie Evans Video

Kent UK based singer-songwriter Natalie Evans uses fingerpicked guitar melodies and layered vocal harmonies to create her own distinct style, drawing influences from the likes of Joanna Newsom.

Natalie has now released a new video ‘Library Days’ – a song taken from her new EP ‘Houses’.

Natalie has alreeady shared the stage with the likes of Smoke Fairies, Sea Of Bees, Tall Ships and Dad Rocks!  The emphasis is now on a run of shows in London and touring the UK.

We had an early listen to ‘Library Days’ – and here’s what we thought:

Natalie Evans picA hand-picked, trembling, supple guitar leans gently against the melody. The rhythms ripple like sticks of willow in a cool breeze.

Then, as the honeyed voice begins a gentle climb – like yeasting bread at the kitchen hearth – a great jingling of keys cascades lightly over the lip.

The vocal itself is self-accompanied, golden, lush and waxy. It’s as buttery as the new yolk of spring and as soft as the lips of a newborn lamb. Pensive and luscious.
