Originally built in 1847 as a railyard turntable building for steam locomotives, Camden UK’s foremost performing arts venue THE ROUNDHOUSE introduced the sounds of The Doors and Pink Floyd to the world, as well as hosting many other memorable shows within its hallowed curved ribs, including: The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, the Ramones, Motörhead and many more.

In the mid 1990s a redevelopment trust, with a board of trustees led by philanthropist Torquil Norman that included Bob Geldof and Suggs (Madness) and filmmaker Terry Gilliam revived the London venue to create a more adaptable performance space.
And since 2006, the Roundhouse has hosted the BBC Electric Proms and numerous iTunes Festivals.

Now in its 5th year, the IN THE ROUND series continues to bring a diverse range of artists to the Camden venue for rare, seated performances.
The first six artists announced for IN THE ROUND 2020 are:
Friday 24 January — Jorge Drexler (only UK appearance)
Saturday 25 January — Badly Drawn Boy (first London show for 5 years)
Tuesday 28 January — KOKOROKO (Afrobeat all-star band)
Thursday 30 January — Fatoumata Diawara (Malian singer with full-band)
Friday 31 January — Anaïs Mitchell (rare chance to see her perform with her “folk supergroup”)
