RAW RAMP MUSIC MAG highly tipped Birmingham’s four piece band Peace back in December 2012
Peace play melodic, technically proficient pop – with a furry African coating.
‘Ocean’s Eye’ from their highly successful ‘Delicious’ EP has sultry beats that twist & swirl around a fanciful cluster of pin-point accurate guitars. A squelching accompaniment may remind you of Happy Mondays. Piles of shimmering cymbals bundle themselves into the spaces provided by the space-age vibes.
‘Bloodshake’ also has a spiky tribal feel to it. Beats sound like they are played on a basketball, and the voice lingers on each note, stretching the words into a bubblegum wrap of fantasy wriggle-worms. The gaseous sounds soon boil over the rim like smoke billowing from an over-filled cooking pot.
The band will be headlining this year’s REDFEST set in the beautiful Surrey countryside at Robins Cook Farm near REDHILL 25 + 26 JULY 2014
Only thirty minutes from London, Redfest is a two day music festival now into its seventh year. Redfest has gained a reputation for championing new emerging bands, solo artists and DJs.
