Bad for Lazarus Caught in Twist

Bad for Lazarus are already well known for their beautiful crafted and ambitiously swollen, vibrant live shows – and now this quintet from Brighton (UK) are impressing with recordings that are full of abundant character and charming fun.

Bad For Lazarus are releasing a new single ‘Caught In The Twist’ taken from their upcoming debut album “Life’s A Carnival, Bang! Bang! Bang!” – due for release 28th July.

We had a listen:

This is an incredible package of ideas – a dizzying compendium!

Sounds flirt with you, as they dash-around –  like peacock flies at a fruit stand – ripe buzzes and colourful bristles.

The main vocal is cast high – fearlessly balanced on a saucer-lip of tones – waiting for the backing vocals to wrap around gently.

The main theme is smutty, rhythmic and teasing – a heap of chaff and uniformly atmospheric reflections.

And the sizzling guitar solo is oily , sticky and slimy. Like a spray of tar – triggered by a slack-handed grease-gunner.

The entire piece is a highly smeared butter cake filled with crazy thoughts, puzzled propositions and drooling humour …

It’s a completely adventurous psychedelic groove.

And powered by the rocket-fuel of love.
