Obsessional and creative Lewisburg songwriter and daydreamer Harry Nagle has announced the release of his brand new single “All The Things I Need.”
The new single is included in his fifth LP – The Evacuation of the Summer Lane – a culmination of years of song-writing, recording, engineering and producing, as well as years of playing power-pop, punk, glam and folk.
We listened to the new track:
‘All The Things I Need’ has a bunch of joyful and chaotic rhythms.
Crystal bowls of licorice-strand sounds built up over time.
The voice is bright and bushy-tailed.
But some of the words have a sneer in them – as if there was an untold latent contempt being forced down. Out of sight. But not out of mind.
So, it’s not all whoop-whoop contentment.
The song suggests hurt and disappointment.
But, overall, this is pleasant and amicable.
Like a Friendly Floatee – bobbing in the gyre.
