Something Special from Miss Marlow

For the New York based band Miss Marlow, the feminine power of a central figure is threefold: seductive, strong, and sassy.

Luckily they have, in their midst Marleen Pfeifer (vocals/guitar).

Having recently moved to the US from Denmark, Pfeifer and her band are getting ready to stake their claim on an international fan base with her blend of dark, striking melodic rock mixed with pockets of softness and enchantment.

They now release “Something Special” from their forthcoming EP.

Miss Marlow short
Marleen Pfeifer – Seductive, strong and sassy…

We had a listen:

The bacon-rind of bass flaps loosely against a rancid, shaking guitar.

The voice is fresh, troublesome and slightly nasally.

It prods and pokes against the ankles of the vaguely shoving concussions of beat and that insistent guitar.

When the song flusters properly – just like a fountain of frost – the supercooled droplets of sound are jetted high into the salty air.
