A Thai ballad that’s been remixed by English producers is about to become a major dance floor hit … With over 60% of UK club DJ’s now supporting the Forever Dance mix.
“Forever (Dance Remix)” features Thai soul princess Mariam of B5 and Richie Dews and was produced by The Isan Project.
It’s a perfect collaboration of Thai and Western artists.
We had a listen to “Forever” by The Isan Project ft. Richie (Dews) & Mariam:
The groove wobbles like a Thai tiger riding a clumsy wave.
The aventurine bass notes are chrome-bright and the shimmering synths shine in all the right corners.
The voice is pale orange and has a vital spark that ignites the air.
The moves that accompany this ( by the way – choreography is by Jermaine Browne ) seem to be a cross between loose line-dancing and classical hand, arm and shoulder dance.
And that is what this tune reminds us of – Oak Ridge Country Rock adorned with oriental jangles.
This is a folk-dance that is beautifully balanced, cheerful and expressive – and it evokes the dawn of happiness.
