Strangers Rebel Light

We’ve already said that the hazy Californian indie-pop outfit The Rebel Light (from Los Angeles) can probably “weft magic from candyfloss and seersucker…” [Check our review here: jukebox-dream ] – now they issue another beautifully melodious track titled ‘Strangers’.

We couldn’t wait to hear it:

Imagine a group of talented session singers starting out doing background vocals for singers like Charles Aznavour – then branching out to work with The Monkees circa 1967. That’s how sunny this gem sounds.

Short bursts of crisp sound, incredible voices and more swing than Jean Shrimpton’s hips, as she walks triumphantly down Carnaby Street.

We recommend you spin it right now!
