All female New York City band New Myths (Rosie Slater, Marina Ross, Brit Boras) create spectral, melodic and eerie sounds – combining much-loved influences like Cure, Heart, Kate Bush and Joy Division.

We’ve been listening all summer long to “It Burns Through Your Armor” – but now (on the edge of winter) the song really comes into it’s own:
This is lonely and deep.
Like a hard-chined hull – the main vocal drags through the ether – like a sword through cutting the murky sea-foam.
There are no sharp edges on the bass, the guitars are quirky and Japanesey. And the voices are trim and shiny.
This is a lightweight foam of sounds – and thoroughly gorgeous.
