Ambitious Janis Joplin inspired French singer Allyson Ezell will soon be releasing her trilogy of EP’s exploring the shadows of the past.
Part 1: ‘The Ease of Remembering Sparks’ will be available at the end of Feb.

We listened to ‘Talk To Me’ from the first EP:
Spikes of synth greet us – pointing … like flaming shards from a cactus bush. Then things start to shimmer as the scene grows hot.
The vocal rises from this – a swirling mirage. Slightly shaky – diaphanous. Yet as real as the desert heat.
Allyson’s vocal is cute and breathy at times – yet you feel that she holds back unreserved power… then this is released with careful control.
This is the type of vocal artistry that reminds us of Annie Lennox.
The chorus is addictive – entering into your head, before drilling down into your bedding. Where it waits to grab you in the night.
Yes, this is hypnotic pop with jazzy singing and smart production.
