Italian rock icons VERDENA have announced the release of their seventh full length record, titled Volevo Magia out on 28th April 2023, via Capitol Records Italy / Universal Music.
The band also shared the brand new single taken from the album, Crystal Ball, which is accompanied by an amazing music video (shared below). Although it looks consecrated, it’s a groaning craunch of menacing rhythms, cutting guitars, hammermilling percussion, and penetrative vocalisation.

Formed in 1995, Verdena comprises of Alberto Ferrari (vocals and guitar), Luca Ferrari (drums) and Roberta Sammarelli (bass). The rock band’s influences span a wide range of genres, from psychedelic rock with hints of stoner to grunge soundscapes reminiscent of Nirvana.
Verdena are firmly rooted in the Italian music scene and have become one of the top rock bands of the nation.
Volevo Magia follows the recent release of the album America Latina, music inspired by the film, made for the movie directed by the D’Innocenzo brothers, which marked the end of a long period of silence since their two-volume project, Endkadenz, in 2015.
Throughout their career, Verdena have gained an enviable reputation as one of the best live bands around, delivering energetic and unforgettable shows. The band recently completed a 16 date Italian tour, with 14 sold out shows, and have announced a full European/UK tour in April 2023, with a London show on 29th April at the renowned Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
